News Updated 11th August 2000

Vibracore is to headline the 'Bandstand 2000 Rockin the Park' festival in Alton, Hampshire on Saturday 12th August. The event is free and has been organised by Chas Byrne of Hyperthermia who are also playing. It is scheduled to run between 1 pm and 7pm. Other bands include Scarlet Soho, The Lizard Lie, Mindslide, Angel, and Girl Riot. It should be a cracker because loads more people get to skunk groove their pants off.

Friday 18th August Vibracore travel to The Session Room @ The Carlisle in Hastings. This event has been organised by our great friends at Infinite Arts.

You can check them out at by clicking here.

The following day, Saturday 19th August the band travel back along the coast to Southampton to play at 'The Talking Heads'.

Vibracore have been recording their lovely new album at Earth Terminal Studios in Farnham. 13 tracks of prime Skunk Groove. Everyone who has heard the rough mixes has had to be revived by para-medics having suffered P.O.L. (Permanent Orgasmic Lock). Watch this space for release date.

Once there you can join Riffage for free (it only takes a couple of minutes) and then you can review our songs. While you are at Riffage, check out their charts, especially their Blues Top 40, where you should still find all is well with the universe and "Hard Work, Worry & Pain" and "In Your Own 'Timefill'" are in still in the top 10 where they have been for the past couple of months!!

Whilst on the subject of doing your bit to tip the cosmic balance of the  universe in a most rightious way towards chaotic land we know as Skunk Groove, please help your favourite bunch of dirty scruffy musicians by clicking this button:-

Blues Tavern II

Vibracore are to play on Friday 8th September at the Blues Tavern II (formerly The New Inn, Sleaford, Nr.Bordon, Hants).

This will be a rare chance for people to see the new rejuvenated Vibracore (see the article below entitled 'Vibracore's search is over') with special added electrical ingredient, before the band goes into the studio to put the finishing touches to the new album.

Unrehearsed? Who gives a toss. Vibracore - Better Than Ever. Don't miss it.

Begone's Fate still not decided

The latest news from Monjay World Headquarters (Aldershot branch) suggests that the close voting battle to decide destination of former bass player extraordinaire - Begone Fret has had to go to a 4th re-count. Fret, who announced his intention to leave Vibracore approximately 1 month ago has finally revealed that his reasons for leaving have something to do with the proximity of parallel universe 451 to Aldershot at this time and his allergies to porridge and bars on windows.

Vibracore's Search is Over

Vibracore's search for a bass player to replace the ultra-dimensional Begone Fret is over. There was a knock at the door and a High-Voltage Man entered and told Gypsy Twang that he had the power to bring out the low notes. Twang (who has always been impressed by electricity) immediately passed the newcomer the baton which Begone Fret had so sadly dropped. The High-Voltage Man's name turned out to be Tom Prince and he has already used his electrical expertise powering Vibracore's engine room in the recent musical extravaganza at the Blues Tavern to the rapturous acclaim of all Vibracorian followers. Begone Fret, who has decided to leave the band for his own reasons (see bottom of this page for his options) will have his fate decided in the next few days.
